The purpose of this session is to present examples of innovative approaches taken by governments in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). These approaches encompass innovations in institutional procedures, leadership and the exploration of non-conventional data methodologies and technologies such as satellite and AI that have been employed to assess the ramifications of climate change and to address gaps in environmental data.

The knowledge and perspectives gathered from this session will serve as valuable inputs for further informing our strategic collaboration with technical partners and nations. This collaboration is aimed at assisting countries in both regions with their endeavors in climate action, environmental sustainability, and understanding the impact of climate change on public health.
