IDC champion Sightsavers recently launched a webinar series to advance the implementation of the organization's inclusive data objectives alongside key partners.
During the session, Sightsavers monitoring, evaluation and learning and policy and global advocacy teams presented case studies from Uganda, Malawi and Zambia to demonstrate how inclusive data collection and use supports the organization’s work. Sightsavers partners, the International Disability Alliance and CBM Global, another IDC champion, also shared insights on collaborating with organizations of persons with disabilities.
"The collection, analysis and use of disability disaggregated and inclusive data is one of the foundations of inclusive development. Data fuels the advocacy arguments we make for better international agreements, national laws and policies. It is also essential in monitoring the implementation of those promises and policies and in ensuring that what we are doing is effective and leads to actual positive changes in the lives of people with disabilities around the world."
Dom Haslam, Sightsavers Director for Policy and Programme Strategy and Deputy CEO
