The SDGs Kenya Forum comprises diverse Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) seeking to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Kenya. Membership is voluntary for entities drawn from CSOs through coordinated engagement with citizens, government, academia, media, and the private sector.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

The Forum exists to mobilize and coordinate civil society advocacy for the achievement of SDGs in Kenya through partnerships, citizen engagement, capacity building, policy dialogue, and campaigns, among others.

The Forum seeks to:

  1. Establish/provide a coordinated and structured approach for civil society and citizens to engage the government and other development actors towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs).
  2. Strengthen partnerships and provide technical support to respective government departments and development partners that are key to the implementation of the SDGs.
  3. Enhance citizens’ (and other stakeholders) awareness and ownership, voice and participation in SDGs decisions, processes, and actions.
  4. Promote evidence-based means of implementation, follow-up and review, and tracking progress on SDGs.
