Planet started as a small team of physicists and engineers, and now operates the world’s largest constellation of Earth-imaging satellites. We offer our customers a diverse selection of 3-meter, 5-meter, and 80-centimeter data products, all under one roof.
From precision agriculture and emergency response to supply chain and infrastructure monitoring, we believe that timely, global imagery and analytics will empower informed, deliberate, and meaningful stewardship of our planet.
Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data
Planet Labs is changing the way we see the world. Today, Planet Labs operates the world’s largest constellation of imaging satellites and processes this unique information in near-real time.
Planet Labs has partnered with USAID and the Rockefeller Foundation to be part of the Global Resilience Partnership to further its commitment to building the tools and processes to ensure that this information can be used by those who need it the most.
Over the next year, Planet Labs will make high-quality satellite imagery available to the relevant UN bodies for purposes of refining the SDG Indicators. This will ensure that these bodies have a deep understanding of how high-cadence geospatial data can help accelerate the monitoring, reporting, and validation of progress on the SDGs.
