The Civil Society Collaborative on Inclusive COVID-19 Data harnesses the potential of data generated by communities and civil society organizations (CSOs). The Collaborative aims to create a holistic understanding of how people who have been marginalised have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, their responses and resilience. As part of the process of developing the flagship An Unequal Pandemic: Insights and Evidence from Communities and Civil Society Organisations report, the Collaborative collated a concise, yet crucial set of inclusive design principles to shape the production of the report: prioritizing accessibility and useability, ensuring ethical image and content use and using inclusive language and icons.
These principles bring together the experiences of over 20 organizations and communities, along with best practices from existing guidance materials, and serve as a resource to the Collaborative and others on leaving no one behind in knowledge sharing and publication processes.
