Administrative data is an increasingly important source for the production of official statistics. If correctly collected and used, administrative data can fill data gaps within national statistical systems. Strengthening national statistical office (NSO) capacity to collect and use administrative data is a key way to create inclusive policies that help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the 2030 Agenda.

This expert clinic hosted by the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data featured various NSOs discussing how they use partnerships to better use administrative data. State participants included the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statisitics, the Ghanain Statistical Service, the Vanuatu National Statistics Office and the United Kingdom Office for National Statistics.
